TERMA: The Transmission Protocol for Competence Assets
How empirical data from previous transmissions anchors the VX dimension
What is TERMA?
TERMA is a transmission protocol for competence-based economic vitality. The name comes from the Tibetan tradition of "hidden treasures" — teachings concealed until the right moment for their discovery.
In Sowarigpa, TERMA applies specifically to competence assets — skills, expertise, and professional knowledge that can generate economic value when properly activated.
The Problem TERMA Solves
When Sowarigpa diagnoses a competence asset, the VX dimension (exchange value) faces a unique challenge: unlike real estate or luxury objects, competences have no public marketplace with transparent pricing.
How do you anchor the exchange value of "15 years of UX design expertise" or "certified sommelier with wine import network"?
The answer: empirical data from previous transmissions.
How TERMA Works
The protocol operates in three phases:
Phase 1: Assessment (SEP Score)
Before a competence can enter the TERMA protocol, it must pass a Structured Evaluation of Potential (SEP). This assessment measures:
- Specificity — How differentiated is this competence in the market? - Evidence — What proof exists of its economic potential? - Pathway — Is there a clear route to monetization?
The SEP score ranges from 5 to 100. A minimum of 73 is required to enter the protocol.
Phase 2: Inscription
Once qualified, the transmission is inscribed on the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol — creating an immutable, verifiable record. This inscription contains:
- The bearer's sector and generation (G0 = origin, G1 = first transmission, etc.) - The SEP score at time of inscription - A link to the parent transmission (for G1+)
Phase 3: The 90-Day Cycle
After inscription, the bearer enters a structured 90-day activation period:
- J+30: First progress report — initial actions taken, early signals - J+60: Mid-cycle report — revenue tracking, challenges documented - J+90: Final report — cash generation assessment, error documentation
How TERMA Enriches VX
This is the key innovation. When a new user arrives with a competence asset in the same sector, Sowarigpa can now anchor their VX analysis with real data:
"In the coaching sector, 73% of TERMA bearers generated cash within 90 days. Median time to first revenue: 34 days. Maximum lineage depth: G3."
This transforms VX from a qualitative guess into an empirically-anchored assessment. The more transmissions complete the 90-day cycle, the more precise the VX anchoring becomes.
The Collective Memory
Every completed transmission contributes to a shared knowledge base:
- Success rates by sector — what percentage of bearers generate cash? - Error documentation — what went wrong, at what phase, and how was it corrected? - Revenue timelines — how long does it typically take to monetize?
This collective memory is not proprietary. It is anchored on Bitcoin and verifiable by anyone with a transaction ID.
Current Status
The TERMA protocol is currently in read-only preview mode within Sowarigpa. The assessment (SEP) and the diagnostic integration are functional. However:
- No wallet is connected — inscriptions are performed externally - No satoshis are transmitted through this interface - The registry operates on manually-entered data from the admin console
This is an honest limitation. The protocol's full automation (wallet integration, automatic inscription, on-chain verification) is planned for Season 3.
Why Bitcoin Ordinals?
Three reasons:
1. Immutability — Once inscribed, a transmission cannot be altered or deleted 2. Verifiability — Anyone can verify a txid on any Bitcoin explorer 3. Scarcity — Each inscription is unique and permanently associated with a specific satoshi
The choice of Ordinals over other protocols (Ethereum NFTs, Solana, etc.) reflects a commitment to the most decentralized, most secure, and most permanent ledger available.
For Whom?
TERMA is designed for professionals who:
- Have a demonstrable competence with economic potential - Are willing to document their activation journey honestly - Want their success (or failure) to contribute to collective knowledge - Value verifiable proof over self-reported claims
It is not for everyone. The SEP threshold (73/100) exists precisely to ensure that only genuinely viable competences enter the protocol.
